Expectations for dramatic change in Washington are high in the wake of the 2016 elections. Pledges of sweeping change fueled the stunning election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States. Defying the pundits and pollsters, Republicans gained control of the White House and maintained control of both the House and the Senate, marking the first time since 1953 when Dwight Eisenhower became president that Republicans will preside over a unified government.
Promises of regulatory rollbacks and reversal of executive action on a range of policy issues dominate early conversations of what the 115th Congress will bring. In addition, the new Administration has pledged $1 trillion in infrastructure investments over ten years. Especially important, a new Administration means new leaders overseeing the water resources arena and new policies.
Register now to attend the 2017 Legislative Summit, March 6-8 in Washington, D.C. to hear from high-ranking Congressional and Executive branch officials and industry leaders about water resources policy developments and program expectations for the coming year.
Again this year, we will be co-hosting our annual Congressional Reception with the Mississippi Valley Flood Control Association.
Don’t miss out! Register now! We look forward to seeing you in Washington.
