September 26-28, 2017
The Mighty Mississippi and the City of St. Louis have a rich and storied history, dating to when the first steamboat arrived in 1817. Over 2,200 miles long, the Mississippi is the 3rd largest watershed in the world.
Working together, navigation and flood control provide a safe and reliable navigation channel, ensuring public safety as well as the economic and agricultural interests in the region. Today, this majestic river is one of the nation’s superhighways, providing a low-cost and environmentally sensitive way to move U.S. bulk and raw materials to the nation and the world.
So register now and meet us in St. Louis! Speakers include Major General Donald (Ed) Jackson, Deputy Commanding General for Civil and Emergency Operations, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Mr. Edward Belk, Director of Programs Integration, USACE; Mr. Eric Moraczewski, Executive Director, Gateway Arch Park Foundation; Ms. Mary Lamie, Executive Director, St. Louis Regional Freightway; Ms. Ronda Sauget, Executive Director, Leadership Council of SW Illinois; and David Human, Partner at Husch Blackwell, with more speaker announcements coming soon.
